Katharine "Kit" Cooke has had a range of previous experience in several industries before settling down in real estate. Her former roles include banquet server, administrative assistant at the Atlantic City Regional Medical Center, and Manager of her husband’s plumbing business. She easily adapts and thrives in almost any new situation.
Kit began in real estate as an office manager/sales associate for her family-run business before joining the Carrier Sotheby’s Team in April of 2006. "I enjoy all aspects of real estate- from finding people the property of their dreams to listing a property so that my clients can move on to the next big adventure in their lives."
Kit is a lifelong resident of Brigantine. She loves the feeling of driving over the bridge and being able to see the entire island. It is in that moment that she knows she is home.
In addition to receiving the Circle of Excellence award for superb performance in real estate, Kit is also involved in the Circle of Excellence committee itself. She received numerous awards during her time at the Atlantic City Regional Medical Center, including the Alan Angelo Award for community service and the PACE Award for excellence in customer service.
Within the community, Kit is the Co-Chairperson of the Atlantic County Surf Fishing Derby, which raises money for the United Way of Atlantic County. She is also a past Board Member of the Brigantine Historical Society, and a member of the South Jersey Women’s Networking Group.
In her spare time, Kit enjoys spending time with her family. She and her husband of 34 years have three grown sons, one lovely daughter-in-law, and one spectacular granddaughter. Kit’s hobbies include reading with the Brigantine Beach Book Club, knitting with the South Jersey Knitting Guild, and scrap booking with friends at a monthly workshop.
